A mere 65 votes separated the two candidates late Tuesday in a Congressional contest in upstate New York that received national attention and was widely seen as a referendum on the Obama administration’s economic recovery efforts. The Times makes it sound like it was a solid Republican seat, but in fact now Senator Gillibrand won it in November by 24 points, although the President wasn't nearly as strong.

Waiting for the count of the Absentee Ballots.
