Even without my Father's connection, this cartoon is perfect. It shows how wonderful language is, or at least the English language.

The Plain Folk
Today would have been my Father's birthday, if he had not passed away a few years ago. He had an affinity for the Plain Folk and he would have loved this cartoon.
As with all of human language, the meaningless symbols take on a meaning of their own sometimes. This is particularly true with self-referencial statements.
