We have been told in the media that more photos from the infamous Abu Ghuraib prison are going to be released.
What good this will do is not clear to me. Maybe it will mean we will become exercised and prosecute more people for war crimes. For sure our opponents in the other parts of the world will use such photos to stir up support, which means trouble for us.

While I am one of those who believes in declassifying a lot more government information than we do declassify, and not classifying a lot we do classify, this seems like a public diplomacy mistake.
