He was irretrievably touched by the fact that life was made up of the actions of human beings and that the leisure of the theory classes was too expensive a luxury amid the grinding of social action and the exigencies of real people.William Safire always had something useful to say. In fact, I cite one of this books in a paper I have written for my Night School class on this coming Thursday. The book is The First Dissident.
