From Transterrestial Musing we have news that SpaceX, a commercial enterprise, may have placed something in orbit.
This is big news. There is a theory out there that NASA is holding back the space program and President Obama's moves in that area may be opening up the space race to commercial activity. If so, that could be good. A little competition.
