Popular Mechanics has a piece on gas prices. Notwithstanding the oil spill in the Gulf, gas prices not not that high.
I am not sure the article answers any questions, but it does raise the question as to what we are going to do for a national energy policy.

OK.....didn't this question get asked in the Carter Administration......after having it mentioned frequently in the Nixon and Ford Administrations??? And isn't that why we installed the Department of Energy???
