Tucson Memorial Service

I liked the President's speech at the Tucson Memorial this evening.  He was very Presidential and he was President for all.  Which is what Dr Charles Krauthammer pointed out on Fox News after the end of the Memorial Event.

There was some comment about the rowdiness of the students.  I would say boisterous.  This was not a somber event and given that it was on a college campus, that is to be expected.  And, in a way it was a celebration, rather than a wake.  And, I thought the President worked with it well.

I also thought that while different, the opening blessing by Dr (and Professor) Carlos Gonzales was a reasonable opening for this memorial.  It set both a spiritual and a patriotic tone, appropriate for the moment.
