Over at The Daily Caller writer Mickey Kaus seems to think the prosecutors should just drop going after former Candidate John Edwards for using money to hush up his paramour. The level of chatter (as they say in the intel world) is rising on possible indictments.
I am with Mr Kaus on this. One the one hand, we (legislators, Federal and State campaign finance bureaucrats, investigators and prosecutors) are becoming over-controlling in the area of campaign financing. On the other hand, wouldn't it be better for the children if this whole thing just went away. (And put an end to this kind of thing.)
Hat tip to the Instapundit.
