Teaching Strategy

Well, actually, doing strategy.

Over at Tom Ricks' blog, The Best Defense is a parody of a Strategic Planning Checklist, with a few comments.  Funny, but it hit a lot of the key points.

Hat tip to Reporter Carl Prine.

  1. I loved this. As Tom Ricks said, there's truth in jokes like this...checklists and templates are great, and they certainly have their place, but it sure is frustrating to come up against cookie-cutter type thinking, which happens in the military for sure but probably in just about ANY civilian setting short of a gathering of New Yorker writers.

No, wait, there's probably some of that there, too.
