First Woman President
Law Professor Ann Althouse, at her blog, talks about the comfort of Americans in General, and the comfort of Republicans in particular, with a woman President. Interesting discussion.
Personally, I don't care if it's a hermaphrodite. Is the person intellectually and experiential;u qualified to be the Pres. The whole inane debate about whether they are "qualified" to push the "Big Red Button" is, in my mind....a red herring. Of all the duties and responsibilities of a President....that is the one I worry least about. AND...I am not particularly concerned about their expertise and knowledge about the technicalities of economy and banking and defense and international relations. I AM concerned that they will hire the best in those fields...and have the intellect to listen to them and make informed decisions. I AM concerned that they can LEAD!!!! That is...put a blue ribbon team together that gets the job done...and done correctly.
Frankly, the gray man in the gray flannel suit perfectly fitted....Bombney....AIN'T one of those people.
In the field right now.....I see leadership....inspirational behavior.....willingness to get out front and set the pace.....in only a few contenders.....Bachman, Palin, Perry....and God forgive me for saying this....Hillary....who would, if she got elected...would actually serve as Billary.
