NOW (National Organization for Women) has taken on Newsweek over it's Cover Story on Michele Bachmann. NOW still wants her to lose, but it wants all women candidates to get a fair shake. Fair enough. And fair recognition of Rep Bachmann as a serious candidate.

Mitt Romney is a serious candidate, meaning he has cross over appeal to independents and conservative democrats.
ReplyDeleteBachmann is a politcal circus. Drawing attention should not be the standard by which we measure.
Republicans are confused. Because they will not acknowledge the quality and character of Barack Obama; that they view him as an unfit, flash in the pan, Republicans figure they can lower the bar of their expectations to that level.
Except, Obama is legit.
And Bachmann, ... ain't.
The Reps haven't fielded a winning candidate...simply because they cling to principles long ago dead...but that doesn't mean that Obama is somehow the unbeatable candidate. He has done nothing to move this country forward....even with a 2 year supermajority in his favor. He has taken what Bush did in terms of debt and increased it dramatically..and has done NOTHING to address that debt....EVEN with the supermajority who have ONLY joined him in increasing the debt and lost us jobs. He had the power to do anything he wanted...even to making the nasty rich people turn over every red cent they made....and he didn't do it. He's played footsie with Wall Street making tough speeches in public and patting them all on the butt in private. Tim Geithner is the worst of the worst in that morally repugnant crowd and Obama embraces him like the most loyal centurion.
ReplyDeleteThere is almost no difference between Romney and Obama...so there is zero choice. Faced with nothing is no choice....
Politics today is about the Golden Rule....whoever amasses the most gold will get to rule...and at the moment....OWEbama is amassing the most....and continues to do so...using AF One to fly all over the country to line the DNC coffers with even more gold.
The only legitimacy about his reelection will be the amount he pays for it.
