Here is a fine distinction that is important to those not lucky enough to have disposable income or good libraries.
Open Access to information is not the same as Free Access. The fine line is that Free Access is a a gift and can be withdrawn at any time, and in some cases has been, as this article by Professor Tracey Koehlmoos points out. Open access is all rights and privileges for all.
You probably didn't care, but it is on such fine lines that we divide the haves and the have nots, not just in terms of money, but in terms of knowledge.
