Jeb Bush's Views

From Memeoradum we have this somewhat confusing report from BuzzFeed on Former Governor Jeb Bush's assessment of politics today and the Republican Party today.

  1. It don't mean nuthin' unless Grover Norquist catches wind of it.

    Oh, wait.

    * Grover Norquist is lashing out at former Florida governor Jeb Bush (R) for his comments critical of Norquist’s anti-tax pledge. Bush has said in recent days that Republicans should accept a deal that includes $10 in spending cuts for every $1 in tax increases. “There’s a guy who watched his father throw away his presidency on a 2:1 [ratio of spending cuts to tax increases] promise,” Norquist told Talking Points Memo. “And he thinks he’s sophisticated by saying that he’d take a 10:1 promise. ... You walk down that alley, you don’t come out. You certainly don’t come out with 2:1 or 10:1.”

Grover plows on, ever the Reagan sycophant, saying Reagan could see into the future. So, the Reagan tax raises didn't count. But, somehow, the H.W. Bush tax raise did? Logic pretzel!

  2. It don't mean nuthin' anyway. Just ONCE I'd like to see our significant organic problems attributed to the correct and responsible party.....and it is NEVER the sitting (and playing with his navel) President. It is always the 99th, or the 100th, or the 111th sitting Congress. Reagan, the peanut nut, Bush's one and deux, even the hallowed Bad Billy and of course our current "sitting bull"........these are little more than figureheads of one of the three pillars of the Republic mechanism.

And before anyone challenges that assertion by pointing out that the guy in the WH can issue EO's, let me just counter that if the Congress had any backbone and integrity at all....the idiot in the big house on PA Ave (regardless of party) couldn't even do that.

OH.....and the fickle finger of accusation REALLY points to the gigantic herd of sheeple we call American society....or....once ever few years....."the electorate."

ALL sitting Presidents are eloquent speakers in their own way.....that is the quintessential definition of "politician"......and they all strike a pose of......well...."Presidential".....but they are no different from one another except in terms of that party card they carry...uh....somewhere on or in their body.
