Turning The Page

Over at The Hill is a report that the President has turned the page.  Quoting the President in their article:
Of course Americans build their own businesses.  Every day, hardworking people sacrifice to meet a payroll, create jobs and make our economy run.  And what I said was that we need to stand behind them, as America always has.
I like what the President said, above.

Hat tip to Drudge.

  1. I'm not sure I buy the "what I said was" part. What he said clearly emphasized the importance of government infrastructure and reproached small business in the process. This subsequent statement avowing the need to stand behind those small businesses is an entirely different point, but, as you say, it's far easier to like it than the last one.

  2. I like what he said too.......and don't like what he said before he said what he just said......of course....most of America just didn't hear what he really said the first time...silly us.

The words of the Great Teleprompter are inspiring and encouraging........but then there are those pesky little actions that seem to.....well.....open up the dark corridors of doubt.

Sadly......Mitt will not be any different except that his philosophical bent will be a different flavor. I will stick with the old tried and true axiom: "How do you tell when a politician is lying? When his lips are moving!"
