Law Professor Ann Althouse tells us that over 3,000 people have commented at the Washington Post on a joke, poorly told, by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Remember the story about the prisoners who had frequent joke nights and had taken to numbering the jokes? Someone would call out a number and everyone would laugh. Right up to the guy who called out a number and nobody laughed. The punch line is "He doesn't know how to tell a joke." I bet Harry's parents would be just embarrassed at his inability to tell a joke.

The variant I've heard is when they all start laughing hysterically and the new guy asks whats so funny. The guy next to him says, "that's a new one, and nobody's heard it before".
ReplyDeleteNo Cliff.......Harry Reid IS a joke.......but there is nothing at all funny about this sinister old coot.
