Representative Darrell Issa to the rescue. He says he is going to write legislation that makes it clear you can "rip your legally purchased DVD so you can watch it on your computer or iPad. Seems like "fair use" to me.

Ah....an extension of the "you didn't build it on your own" axiom??? We are all members of the human race, and so the successes of the one are in fact successes of the many, rendering therefore any sense of personal ownership...even for an idea....moot. After all, ones "idea" has its genesis in the ideas of the many, which then give rise to further musings about a given idea. Put simply, original thought doesn't exist.
