For John, BLUF: We need to keep those old thyme values. Nothing to see here; just move along.
How often do you remember the Homily? My youngest Brother sent this along today, which was the opening to the Associate Pastor's Veterans Day Homily:
For the first part he just quoted three lines from Alexis de Tocqueville's Democracy in America:A Commander in the US Navy Reserve, the Priest is just back from his tenth deployment.
- “The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.”
- "When the past no longer illuminates the future, the spirit walks in darkness."
- “Liberty cannot be established without morality, nor morality without faith.”
