For John, BLUF: Early prediction: the Voters will likely continue "divided government" in 2014. Nothing to see here; just move along.
The new statistics whiz, Mr Nate Silver, tells is that the Democrats are unlikely to pick up the House of Representatives in 2014. The lede:
Democrats did not have as strong a performance in races for the United States House of Representatives last week as they did in the contests for the Senate and the presidency. Instead, Republicans retained control of the chamber."Bottom Line":
In other words, Democrats would have to perform quite a bit better in House races in 2014 than they did in 2012 to win control of the chamber—when usually the president’s party does quite a bit worse instead.Of course here in the Commnwealth of Massachusetts we have to put up candidates.

It would help if your US Senate candidates didn't selfishly endorse Democrats over GOP House candidates, too.
ReplyDeleteLet's just worry about January 1st.
ReplyDeleteHow can anyone speculate, when we have enough on our plates.
I think it is called a "collection plate." Mrs. Geitner's little boy Timmy said today that we don't need no stinkin' debt limits.......or as Buzz Lightyear says, "To infinity!!!!"
