The Real Cause of Pearl Harbor

For John, BLUFHumorous take on the "video" as the cause of the 11 September Benghazi attack.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

The recently missing Neal Crossland forwarded this item from National Review.  The lede is:

Cambridge, Mass. — Celebrated historian Bertram Oxley has uncovered a memorandum from former Japanese Emperor Hirohito to Admiral Yamamoto dated December 6, 1941, showing that the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor was motivated by an offensive film made by Charlie Chaplin ridiculing Japanese cuisine.
I love history and the burrowing down into the records and finding out that events are more complex that we sometimes hear from the media, the first draft of history.
