A New Twist?

For John, BLUF:  Sometimes it is about paybacks, but I am not sure that is the case here.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

I hadn't previously seen this side of the issue:

Senator John McCain, the Arizona Republican who led the initial lambasting of Ms. Rice, had been subjected to withering criticism by her in 2008 when he was running for president.

So says New York Times Analyst Scott Shane, in this article.  And Mr Shane is correct that big issues are being lost in the focus on the talking points.
