Freedom to Blog

For John, BLUFSome Bloggers are pushing back against what they see as bullying.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

Law Professor and Blogger Ann Althouse comments on the current Hillary Clinton Situation.  The Blog Post is titled "The Clinton clot plot thickens... or thins... with anti-coagulants".

One part of the Post talks to the medical side of this and its impact on Secretary of State Clinton testifying before Congress on the Benghazi Imbroglio.  For Professor Althouse, the "Bottom Line" is:

And let's get back to basics:  What we need to talk about is Benghazi.
The other part of the Blog Post is about certain groups of people trying to shut down the conversation.  This seems to irritate Professor Althouse:
And, by the way, I've gotten some pushback in email and on the web, saying that it was "shameful" and "appalling" for me to tie Clinton's health problems to a possible intent to avoid testifying about Benghazi.  Let me tell you that a core motivation to my blogging — and I've been going at this for 9 years now — is to stand tough against people who try to cut off debate with this kind of shaming.
Professor Althouse wants to see "[y]ou have to give reasons for what you think".

The Instapundit comments on the Althouse post at his blog:

It’s hard to be shamed by people who — as demonstrated repeatedly over the past several years — have no sense of shame themselves.  Just as the “have you no decency?” line has little resonance when uttered by people who — as demonstrated repeatedly over the past several years — have no decency themselves.
Yes, that was a different era.
