For John, BLUF: It is the Southern Poverty Law Center, so it is OK. Nothing to see here; just move along.
Per The Daily Caller, a map developed and produced by the SPLC was used by shooter Floyd Corkins when he shot up the Family Research Council offices in Washington, DC.
And he admitted [in court] that he picked the FRC and several other targets based on a “Hate Map” at the Southern Poverty Law Center website...Wide brush the SPLC uses.
Bonus revelation. He was going to smear the faces of the victims with Chick-fil-A sandwiches, as they were expiring. A man with a plan, and a map.
I would say the shooter was wacko, but then I remember how psychiatry was used for political oppression in the former Soviet Union. Let's not compound the problem.

Herein lies the doom of the Republican party:
ReplyDelete"I would say the shooter was wacko, but then I remember how psychiatry was used for political oppression in the former Soviet Union. Let's not compound the problem."
You refuse to self police.
So, how would it be self policing if it is a left wing loon, taking guidance from a left wing website of a left wing organization to go after people working for a conservative organization?
ReplyDeleteWe should be policing the target, the victims?
That would be like acting like Copts in Egypt.

Cliff, the quote I cited is iconic of the GOP's zeal to "gather together." Allowing the most crack pot ideas; some downright hateful, while others are treasonous; in an effort to fundraise and collect votes.
ReplyDeleteDemocrats are doing voter registration in areas of America that would be stuffed with what your comrades call "Takers."
The GOP is inviting gun cults and survivalists that are skewed towards despising community and civics.
On this, you can argue with Joe Scarborough.
Bottom line, it is your own damn fault. And, in this instance, I do me you, Cliff Krieger. You are much to tolerant of the folks that are simply broken.
That hurts your brand.
Thus, my brand is degraded.
Ah yes, Jacks venomous speech which isn't really venomous because he is a progressive and progressive speech only calls out ground truth which only progressives are called to know.
ReplyDeleteYou speak of "despising (sic) community and civics" and the GOP's "allowing the most crack pot ideas, some downright hateful, and others treasonous...." and yet, your own speech is filled with hatred and you despise those who have as much right to community as do you. You don't know the first thing about civics, and if you did, you certainly have failed to follow it.
The conflict Jack is one that is instigated and continuously fueled by people like you....self appointed pseudo intellectuals who would rid the world of anyone you disagree with.
The pathway to peace is through compassionate communication. You fail on both counts. One cannot possibly have a rational, beneficial conversation with you as your language is completely unintelligible. One can only communicate effectively when the information sent to the recipient is the same information that is received by the recipient. Your method of communication is simply to yell more loudly, more forcefully, and so much more continuously that you never even HEAR the other party.
I feel profoundly sorry for people like you. You exist in a hateful world of your own making.
Neal, that's a riot, coming from you.
ReplyDeleteYou continually compare Democrats to Hitler, Mao and Stalin. As your tiny reality map collapses even more, you puke forth small minded responses to what are only paranoid delusions.
The GOP should put as much distance between you, and your ilk, as much as possible.
You can accuse me of being disingenuous, as I craft messages that I think will nudge things in the direction I prefer. You speak your mind. That should give any rational person pause.
Yet, the GOP begs you in to their open arms. Bring your checkbook!
