For John, BLUF: Sometimes a blog post is both short and to the point. Nothing to see here; just move along.
From blogger and law professor Ann Althouse:
November 20, 2013The number one lesson learned is "don't get cocky". It is politics and, as Lord Clifford tells us, even the worm turns.Whatever happened to the "Republicans are committing suicide" meme?
It was all the rage back in September.
There was also "The death of the Republican Party."
Seen another way, the political half-life of an event is 90 days.

I remember the impending end of liberalism and the Democratic party in 88.
ReplyDeleteLiberalism did die in 1988, I miss it and I wish it would come back.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful progress we've made. We've gone from "one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all" to what is becoming brutally hate filled parochialism and polarization. No longer are we merely "Americans." Today, you are either Democrat or Republican.....and by that label....you despise your opposite. Liberalism versus conservatism....a bridge now too far.
ReplyDeleteNot just sad....despicable.
