Mass GOP Says Fisher on Ballot

For John, BLUFDoing bad trying to do what one thinks is good.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

According to The Boston Globe, from Reporters Stephanie Ebbert and Frank Phillips, "GOP offers Fisher spot on ballot, won’t disclose convention tally".

This follows up on the previous report this week that Candidate Mark Fisher would take $1 million to settle the lawsuit and go away.  Today's lede:

Republican gubernatorial candidate Mark R. Fisher struck back defiantly at his party’s leaders Wednesday, asserting that they offered him a $1 million payoff to end his candidacy long before he filed suit against them.
There should be no doubt in anyone's mind that there are fissures within the Republican Party, and the candidacy of Mr Mark Fisher has highlighted these fissures.  At this point the Republican Party spans the spectrum from the Nelson Rockefeller Republicans to the Tea Party Republicans to the Libertarian Republicans, with the Grass Roots filling in the spaces in between.  How the formal party deals with this diversity determines how engaged the factions are when it comes to building platforms, creating structures and voting.

Then there is the issue of if Mr Fisher, who the Mass GOP said was not going to be on the ballot, was, nevertheless, able to gain enough signatures to be on the ballot for the Primary.

Good luck to Mr Fisher.
