Einstein Signs on to Nuclear Weapons

For John, BLUFPeople sometimes have to speak up.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

Blogger and Law Professor Ann Althouse reminds us that today is the 75th Anniversary of Albert Einstein signing his (and really, Scientist Leó Szilárd's) letter alerting President Roosevelt to the possibility of nuclear fission and the weaponization thereof.

The President handed the letter to then Army BG Edwin M "Pa" Watson, with the comment "Pa, this requires action!".

Here is a link to the Einstein–Szilárd letter.
