Right out of the Alinsky handbook. The opposite of conflict is peace. Peace is a status quo state and generally doesn't foment change. For folks like the Obama Democrats, this is anathema. You have to have an object to be against...otherwise....what is the point? What is the difference?
And this BTW is why the Republicans can't stay out of the political doo doo. They have to be against something too.....and even though they speak of high minded principle....the Dems are quick to convert that into a much more personal assault.
