“In Flanders Fields the poppies grow/between the crosses, row on row…”


For John, BLUF11 November is a somber occasion.



If you go to this link you will find a short discussion of the Poppy as a symbol for Veteran's Day (Remembrance Day in Canada and other Commonwealth Nations).  If you listen to the video it mentions selling Poppies at Tim Hortons, which is a fast food chain that might ring a bell with the followers of Hockey.

This coming Tuesday, remember the armistice at 11:00 AM on 11 November 1918.
