Recent Beheadings in Syria

For John, BLUFThe new terrorist executioners in Syria and Iraq are very disrespectful.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

The person who forwarded this USA Today article on the recent beheading of American aid worker Peter Kassig (and a dozen Syrians) noted that there is some discussion in Islamic circles as to if what is being done is what is not humane, is not Islamic.  There is a big, if not long lasting, difference between being beheaded with a large sword and a swift blow and having your head sawed off with a short blade.  Rather, this kind of knife work is more consistent with animal sacrifice.

Frankly, da'ish is not a good representation of what it means to be a Muslim.  Those of us who are not Muslim should avoid judging our Muslim friends and neighbors by the actions of these thugs.

On the other hand, the UAE has banned a number of organizations it finds to be connected to insurgencies, to include the US based CAIR.
