Funding and Bipartisanship

For John, BLUFMinority Leader Pelosi gets the news photo, but Senator E Warren gets some space.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

From The International New York Times, by Reporters Ashley Parker and Robert Pear, we have the report on the funding for the Government for Fiscal Year 2015, "House Narrowly Passes Bill to Avoid Shutdown; $1.1 Trillion in Spending".  In the end the House passed a two day extension of the existing spend, buying time for the US Senate to pass the $1.1 Trillion Continuing Resolution to the end of the Fiscal Year.

I thought this was the most interesting paragraph.

The liberal base of the Democratic Party, led by Ms. Warren, also found itself in an unlikely alliance with the Tea Party wing of the Republican Party. Both opposed the Wall Street bailout of 2008 and feared that the spending measure would not only provide a bounty for big banks but would also help cause another economic crisis. But last year, 70 House Democrats voted for a bill that included the very change to the Dodd-Frank regulations that their leadership opposed this week.

Except for the Department of Homeland Security, which will be funded to February.
