For John, BLUF:  What happened to the Republican revolution the voters called for?  Nothing to see here; just move along.

Congress, and especially the House of Representatives, seems a bit disfunctional these days.  The failure of the US Senate to override the veto of the Keystone XL Pipeline was unfortunate.  The collapse of the Congress on the funding of the Department of Homeland Security was a major disappointment.

But, it isn't likely that things will change much before 2016.  According to The Hill, "Dems vow to protect Boehner from conservative coup".
