In the [Lowell] Sun is the comic strip, "Rhymes With Orange", drawn by Ms Hilary Price.

The 1 July strip has God seated on a cloud, talking to the Angel Gabriel.♠  God says to Gabriel:

They think they want a second coming.  But if I've learned one thing from humans it's that if it did happen, they'd just complain the sequel wasn't as good as the original.

♠  Gabriel has been identified, for some time, as the one to blow the trumpet announcing God's return.  There are several mentions of the trumpet, such as I Corinthians 15:52.  And, it is recorded in song, as in Reno Sweeney singing "Blow, Gabriel, Blow" from Anything Goes, a musical recently presented here in Lowell.
