For John, BLUF: If we pay some employees $15 an hour, won't others want more? Nothing to see here; just move along.
Snow White and the Minimum wage
The New Yorker, which is famous for its witty cartoons, has one about Snow White on page 20 of its 2 January 2017 edition.
The picture shows Snow White in the kitchen, near the hearth, holding a broom, and the Woodland creatures talking to her. The assumption is that it is the home of the Seven Dwarves, although Snow White doesn't yet know this.nbsp; The caption reads:
Look—we'll whistle when it's fifteen dollars an hour.I see a problem with this illustration, by Mr Peter Kuper.
It it goes to $15 an hour they will be replaced by machines.
Unless, of course, they live in that magical kingdom known as The Coast.
