Why can't our Senior Senator play nice with the other kids?

Here is the Wash Post lede:

When Senate Republicans invoked a little-known rule Tuesday night to silence Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) in the middle of a speech criticizing attorney general nominee Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), Democrats were stunned.

Little known?  I've known that rule for ever.  If Opinionater Amy Wang doesn't know it, it is strange.  That high priced Law Professor E Warren doesn't know it strains the imagination.♠

Senator Warren pushed the boundaries and was called out.  It isn't like former Senator Harry Reid lying about former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.  That is OK by Senate Rules.  personal scathing attacks on a fellow Senator are not.  Senator Warren sinned, through her own fault.  Prayers for her soul, but she did do it.  To no avail.  But, she gets points for virtue signaling.
