For John, BLUF: Trump is on a roll. Nothing to see here; just move along.
In which Ann Althouse talks about the Trump Rally. Her fourth (numbered) point is about President Trump quoting Thomas Jefferson, who knew a thing or two about the Press.
"Nothing can be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle." Trump quotes Thomas Jefferson. Is that a real Jefferson quote? Yes! Thomas Jefferson to John Norvell, 14 June 1807:The colon is because she then quotes the whole passage, which you can read at the link.
Hat tip to Ann Althouse.
