Whether Our Foreign Policy?

For John, BLUFIt is time to ask about the verities.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

Einstein's definition of insanity

The author of the following is a retired Army Officer of my acquaintance, Charles Krohn.  Actually, Charles is the next below me on the roster of The Warlord Loop.
We invade Iraq because we believe it's heading toward nuclear capability, threatening the region, although we later learn it's not true.

We don't invade Iran that we know is heading toward nuclear capability, threatening the region, although we know it is true.

Sometimes I can't understand how our foreign policy develops or what to make of it.

This is why there is value in the Trump Administration.  It is asking these questions and looking for real answers.

Sure, not everything in our Foreign Policy is wrong, but we need to be open to the possibility that some of our directions are wrong.
