Back when we were considering health care reform (the outcome being "Obamacare") numbers were floating around suggesting half of bankruptcies were due to medical problems. Turns out it may not be true.
And last week, the New England Journal of Medicine published a new estimate done by a team of health and labor economists.The new study suggests the number is probably closer to 4%.
Yes, 4% is much less than 50%.
