For John, BLUF: The Doolittle Raid, named after MIT PhD Graduate and Army Air Corps Lieutenant Colonel Jimmy Doolittle, was a real morale boost to the Americans, following the attack on Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941 and the loss of Bataan on 10 April 1942. Nothing to see here; just move along.
