The EU

Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

More Abu Ghuraib Photos

We have been told in the media that more photos from the infamous Abu Ghuraib prison are going to be released.

What good this will do is not clear to me.  Maybe it will mean we will become exercised and prosecute more people for war crimes.  For sure our opponents in the other parts of the world will use such photos to stir up support, which means trouble for us.

Here is the take from Black Five, a blog for the eponymously named media organization, whose Executive Director is retired Special Operations Master Sergeant, James Hanson (“Uncle Jimbo”).

While I am one of those who believes in declassifying a lot more government information than we do declassify, and not classifying a lot we do classify, this seems like a public diplomacy mistake.
