The EU

Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

..I admit I laughed at this, but just to add a point from the Scalia post from last week: take a look at the quote on Kad Barma's homepage. It's from Ogden Nash, and it says, "People who have what they want are fond of telling others that they don't really want it." I love that quote, and I can't help but think of it when I see stuff like Scalia's message. I still have a hard time with someone rising to the absolute top of a profession and then telling others not to do so, when that's the entirely rational way to go for many a bright young non-technical major.
