For John, BLUF: GOP needs to get its act together. Nothing to see here; just move along.
On the 30th of July, Sun OpEd writer, Mr Peter Lucas, published on the Editorial Page a item titled "Things Looking up for Mass. GOP". It was a rosey view of 2014, based upon Republicans being in good shape to win Constitutional Offices on Beacon Hill.
However, today some letter writer responded, saying that (a) it is about winning legislative seats, not Constitutional Offices, and (b) the GOP State Committee is disconnected from the local Republican City and Town Committees. To cartoon it, "Downtown Republicans" (downtown Boston) as opposed to the "Grass Roots Republicans".
If you wish for change you should consider supporting your local Republican organization. Here in Lowell, the LRCC, the Lowell Republican City Committee.

"Responding to" is your first mistake. There is nothing this man writes or says that's of any value whatsoever. "White Will Run". Worthless.
