Veterans Day

Veterans Day is our chance to solemnly remember those who died fighting our wars.  And to remember those who came home injured by their time in Service.  And to celebrate those who fought and survived and are with us today.

My thanks to everyone who served in Uniform, who wrote that blank check on their life for the rest of us.

Secretary of State John F Kerry once asked, before the US Senate,

How do you ask a man to be the last man to die in Vietnam?  How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?
The answer is that you tell them that their brother or sister in arms needs their help.  That is what Veterans Day is about.
