For John, BLUF: You have to be on your toes today. Nothing to see here; just move along.
From The Babylon Bee, 31 March 2021.
Here is the lede plus one:
Upon hearing that San Diego teachers were providing instruction to migrant children but not American citizens, many clever parents began disguising their kids as illegal immigrants in hopes that their kids could finally see the inside of a classroom. This morning I sent my Wife and Children an article with a dateline from yesterday and my Daughter took it as an April Fools Day Joke."OK, Aiden, remember -- if they ask you what your name is, just say, 'No hablo ingles,'" said one parent as she dropped her kid off near the Mexican border in Chula Vista. "And don't pick at your fake mustache; it'll fall off. Don't forget your poncho!"
No, with a dateline of YESTERDAY, it isn't April Fools Day.
This news story, however, is satire, although a number of self-appointed "fact checker" sites may well take a whack at the article. Which tells you about fact checkers.
It may also tell you something about School Teachers, many of whom are reluctant to go back. The "Science" says it is safe to go back. Sweden demonstrates it is safe to go back. I hope our Teachers Union President is made of the stuff of science.
Hat tip to the InstaPundit.

Wow! Any school district which has a math teacher who doesn't want to return to work should get my phone number from Cliff, as I am very willing to teach high-school mathematics. However, I do not have my teaching certificate yet, only a BA and MS in mathematics, a substitute teaching certificate issued by the state of Missouri and I have passed the state of Missouri's high school mathematics content exam. Work is work folks! Only dying is a certainty, so, if not now then when?
