For John, BLUF: Spin Cycle. Nothing to see here; just move along.
On City Life this AM♠ the Registrar of Deeds Dick Howe brought up President Richard Nixon and his enemies list and the IRS. This was by way of saying that the IRS under President Obama going after Tea Party folks wasn't a new thing—and it wasn't. However, the IRS Commissioner under President Nixon, Mr Donald Alexander, did a masterful job of resisting the Nixon reelection team from gaining IRS access. Mr Alexander won and the Nixon Team lost on this one. That President Nixon used the IRS to go after his enemies is a canard.
As for former SecDef Gates saying he wouldn't have done anything different, I am not sure that is a ringing endorsement of how the Administration handled the Benghazi Imbroglio. More later, but it is time to hit the road for Lowell. Enough of this time in the DC area.

While what you say is true, it is a compartmentalization of history in a way typical of Americans today. As long as we can find someone else who "did it too" it seems to make it all okay. But, I seldom see anyone examine THIS administration in its totality. Nixon was a bad boy....but his offenses were relatively few compared to the Obama gang.
Stop and think about it for a moment.....and consider that a month has not passed....in many cases..not even a week in which we are treated to yet ANOTHER crooked action. Oh sure...you can believe what you want..that Obama himself didn't order ALL of the things we've discovered....and he didn't...but inside the WH gates is a rabbit warren of traps, dead-end tunnels, and fall guys all over the place. There isn't enough time to sift through all the BS in order to find the TRUTH in every event....because there are too many of them...and because the smoke and mirrors game is so complex.
Nixon was driven from office....and rightly so....but this one.....this one should simply be impeached......and would be.....except that the Congress is profoundly, irreparably impotent.
Nature abhors a vacuum.....and Congress has become one....and Obama has sucked us all in.
