The EU

Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

Assassination Attempt in Pennsylvania

For John, BLUFImagine you are President Trump's Nation Security Advisor—what would you recommend?  Nothing to see here; just move along.

From Morning Call, by Reporters Christina Tatu and John Misinco, 3 October 2018.

Here is the lede:

A security guard fired a “warning shot” in response to an apparent intruder at Turkish cleric Fethullah Gulen’s compound in the Poconos on Wednesday morning, prompting a response by Pennsylvania State Police.
Why do we care?  Because this is an example of a foreign nation (Turkey) attempting to conduct Executive Action on US Territory.  You may be OK with that, but I am not.  Open Source information points to Iran dealing with emigre dissidents the same way.  And Russia also.

This issue is complicated by the fact that we are cooperating with Turkey in Syria and we station forces (e.g.; Incirlik Air Base) in Turkey.

Hat tip to the Drudge Report.
