For John, BLUF: There is more to learn regarding Benghazi. Nothing to see here; just move along.
Political Analyst Michael Barone today reviews the Benghazi Imbroglio in The New York Post—"The difference Benghazi makes".
There are still a couple of open points. To me the long term question is why we blamed some videographer for the attack? There are two parts to this. The first is why we ignored (trashed) the First Amendment in going after the videographer, who is still in jail.♠ The second is the question of what was being missed, or covered up, by focusing on what was not the reason for the attack.
And, there is more at the article.
Hat tip to the Instapundit.

♠ Make no mistake, Mr Nakoula Basseley Nakoula was doing his videography in violation of his parole and thus deserves to receive punishment. But, should the US Department of State have turned over that rock? As an added note, the video was not "vile" as was asserted at the time by some officials of the US Government.

America will NEVER know the truth behind Benghazi. First and foremost, America can't STAND the truth. To do so would necessarily REQUIRE acknowledgement that we aren't....well....the good guys. It would also require an admission that electing and then reelecting Obama only repeats the alleged sins of electing and reelecting Dubya.
And notice too that Benghazi completely eclipses any discussion at all about Fast and Furious.....a crime story with already identified criminals.....completely disregarded for all time.
Folks like to suggest that history will judge. IF we are ever ALLOWED by what is much more today a totalitarian state to SEE what history uncovers, we are likely to see a whole panapoly of Benghazi's and Fast and Furious stories. What history WILL reveal is that this administration is the most corrupt (many will say "benevolently corrupt) in the history of the American Presidency. What Obama has done is to elevate to the national level, Chicago style power politics
