The EU

Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

Fudging at the FBI

For John, BLUF"Who watches the watchmen?—the Roman poet Juvenal.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

Here is the lede plus one:

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., has sent a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray demanding an uncensored copy of the document the bureau used to formally begin its investigation into alleged collusion between Russia and Trump campaign.

The originating document has been the subject of much controversy.  After some Republicans alleged that the FBI used never-verified parts of the Trump dossier as part of its reason to begin the investigation in July 2016, some "current and former" officials leaked to the New York Times that no, it was the case of George Papadopoulos, reported to U.S. authorities by foreign intelligence agents, that prompted the FBI investigation.

"…some "current and former" officials leaked…".  That sounds pretty unprofessional, pretty unethical.  If the DOJ and its FBI can't operate in an open way then they become a threat to the American People.  If they won't be open to those who overseas them, the US Congress and its Committees, then they are a threat to the American People.

It would seem to me that the solution for this is for the US Congress to cut the Appropriations for the FBI, and for Sections of DOJ, and to do so promptly.

Hat tip to the InstaPundit.

If Democrats in Congress don't see this threat to our Democracy then they should all be voted out of office.
