The EU

Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

This Can't Be Good News.

Hat tip to Instapundit for this item posted on Hot Air about the economy.  It is a little verbiage and about a six minute video clip from "Morning Joe".

The contention—"The Stimulus Failed".

The reason this is bad news is that there might not be the money for a second round of stimulus spending.

The additional bad news is that the first stimulus wasn't just focused on investments, but had a big segment going for sustaining local government.  So, without that investment, we are not gaining long term job growth.

As to the money, the fact is that Federal Dollars are not free.  They are either our tax dollars or they are dollars we are borrowing and paying INTEREST on until we pay down the principle.

One small disagreement with the Video.  Former Representative Harold Ford, Jr, now head of the Democratic Leadership Council, said that Ford Motor Company (no relation) benefited from the auto bailout.  Ford is the company that turned down the Federal money.

I would think that Mr Ford is someone to watch, someone who is going to play a big role in the Democratic Party in the future, as he has in the past.
