Happy Columbus Day

For John, BLUFColumbus made his discovery stick, in Europe.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

Think of Chris as one more refugee, looking for some place.

Similar to how Texas school books describe slaves as emigrants ?

What about Indigenous Peoples Day?

Indigenous Peoples Day? Is this about the Native Americans, who came here from Asia oh so many years ago.  Who was here when they arrived, and did not survive the invasion?

Humans are a migrating people.  Recent DNA work shows folks leaving Africa and then returning to Africa.

This is a version of something I saw in the news a week or so ago..

"Researcher who uncovered a male skeleton in an Ethiopian cave have reported one of the first successful cases of sequencing the full genome of an Ancient African, and their silts make it clear that the current African Populations harbor significantly more Eurasian ancestry than previously thought, reshaping the way we interpret human history."

We are all in this together.
