The good news is that Black unemployment is at its lowest point since the Federal Government started keeping stats 45 years ago.
The bad news is that Black unemployment is at 6.8%, vice an overall rate of 4.1%.
We have to do better. This represents real people looking for work and not finding it Back in the Middle Ages, when I studied economics at the college level, 4 to 4.5 percent was considered full employment. That number allows for folks changing jobs.
