The EU

Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

None of the Above

As reported in the Deseret News
AP-GfK Poll:  Republicans shrug at GOP's 2012 field
Followers of this blog should not be shocked by this finding.

I found the link on the Drudge Report.  Was Mr Matt Drudge trying to convey some subtle message by picking for this story a link to the Deseret News?

The poll results are in an of themselves no real surprise, except perhaps the level of confidence in Sarah Palin. I wouldn't expect that number to be anywhere near that high. And yet, given the choices, the best of the rotten fruits is perhaps better than none at all. That the results are reported in what is essentially a hometown mouthpiece for the LDS is, at least for me, not telling of anything, except that perhaps Mitt is listed as a highly rated candidate.

IMHO, if the GOP puts Romney up as the Republican candidate, the election will be lost before it is held. But then, IMHO, nobody in the field at the moment has the stuff to win as most are viewed as crackpot radicals or are simply RHINOs and NEOCONs....a compromise vote from a single party system.

If someone of the stature of Paul Ryan were to run, or in a stretch, even Gov. Christie...I think a good race could be had...and quite possibly...a winning race, particularly with Ryan as a runner. But, the mainstream GOP won't let than happen. It is still a seniority, patronage system. Romney has paid his dues...Ryan has not.

And thus, while the GOP may well have one a major skirmish in 2010 thanks to the tea party movement, they will ultimately lose the war. There isn't the solidarity or the dedicated war chest of the opposition. The GOP could take some lessons from winning the Cold War.

Kudos to "nealcroz" for making the connection, and then evaluating it.
